I don't like using the world as an insult, but I feel like some of the WC fans are genuinely delusional because of the made-up fantasies they so desperately try to push as the truth. Or when they genuinely base someone on their liking of a character, a ship, or some shit. The funniest experience I've had with this is seeing some hardcore Mapleshade-defenders call Applereed shippers "proship."

Because they ship that just because he cheated. Don't get me wrong, cheating is terrible, but firstly, these are fictional fucking cats; cheating is not a concept to them; that doesn't make it okay, but they clearly don't care that much. Appledusk was genuinely sorry, tried to be better for Reedshine, and literally died protecting her and their unborn children. It was also shown in scenes before of him being a bit too overprotective in fear that she'd hurt herself. He's not a saint, but don't act like he's the damn devil when he isn't.

And the ironic thing is that this person ships Maplereed, which actually could be argued as "proship," and I view it as such since Mapleshade literally hated her since the beginning for literally just asking Apple a question. And then she proceeded to kidnap her clanmate, murder her husband in front of her, and then haunt and make her descendants suffer, all because she was jealous.

Appledusk starts seeing the possesive side of his mate Mapleshade and starts thinking he never loved her but it's too late, she's pregnant. Appledusk vents to Reedshine, who comforts him and suggests telling the truth, but Appledusk don't want to hurt Mapleshade's feelings

sorry but this is the best ending for Mapleshade's vengeance.

Go ahead, burn me at the stake. I said what I said. Applereed stinks Mapledusk sucks too. I don't mind Frecklereed, but it personally doesn't make sense to me.
