Vegan apple fries are a delightful twist on traditional fries, offering a sweet and crunchy snack or dessert option.
Ingredients: 2 large apples. 1/2 cup flour. 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg. 1/4 cup plant-based milk. 1 tablespoon maple syrup. 1 cup breadcrumbs. Oil for frying.
Instructions: After taking out the core and peel, cut the apples into thin strips that look like fries. Put the flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a bowl and mix them together. Mix plant-based milk and maple syrup together in a different bowl. First, coat the apple slices evenly with the flour mixture. Then, coat them evenly with the milk mixture. Finally, coat them evenly with the breadcrumbs. Put oil in a pan and heat it over medium-low heat. For about two to three minutes on each side, fry the apple slices until they turn golden brown. Take it out of the oil and put it on a plate lined with paper towels to drain the extra oil. Enjoy while still warm!
