Bradley Creek Fire GoFundMes
The Bradley Creek Fire in Vernon, BC, Canada destroyed many Okanagan Indian Band homes at the beginning of August in a blaze that exploded in under twenty four hours. As is the case in southern half of Syilx territory, the northern half is also facing extreme fires this summer. Losing band housing can have generational fallout.

Urgent! 🚨
This is a long shot, but if anyone is in the South Okanagan:
The wildfire evacuee reception centre at the South Okanagan Events Centre (SOEC) is in urgent need of beds, cots, air/foam mattresses, and blankets. There are over 100 seniors currently sitting in chairs with nowhere to sleep but bare floor. TWO seniors' centres were evacuated here on top of the other residents due to the Bald Range fire.
If you're in the area please bring donations! Most of these folks haven't slept all night.
