I'm not sure of you have an answer, but I'm really in a jam. My littlefee can not keep his head up straight and it keeps flopping foward. I feel like it's because there's a good deal of weight with the faceplate and so and have considered adding apoxie to the neck to help keep the head up but I'm afraid that his range for looking down will decrease. Any suggestions on how I can help him keep his chin up?
head flopping is usually a sign of tight (or snagged) stringing, fairyland bjd’s are *really* well balanced but it can be difficult to get their elastic tension right.
it sounds a little rough, but try pulling the head away from the body while it’s attached to kind of stretch out the elastic. also try pulling on the legs: if one leg seems stiffer/tighter than the other, that’s the one you want to even out (by pulling it). it’s weird but 90% of stringing problems are in the legs.
if it still doesn’t work you can restring them, or put a dab of hot glue to suede the neck. but either way, i wouldn’t use apoxie, it’ll just add to the girth of the piece you put it on without adding any friction.
