im saving up for a bobobie apollo, and when i get him, i want to make his nose a bit smaller. what kind of sandpaper should i use for this?
bobobies have a pretty smooth quality to their resin. iâd start with a lower grit sand paper, like 400 - 600, to shape out the nose and then smooth it out with higher grits starting with 800 and finishing up with around 1200.
also grind in small circles, not up/down motion, itâll leave scratches.
this is a good rule of thumb to go by but if your doll has a chalky kinda feel to its resin, donât go above 900 grit sandpaper. if they have that shiny/super smooth feel, then 1200 will match that consistency.
