I will not hesitate to call every single person who complains about another casting because it's not exactly what they imagined a PIECE OF SHIT!

thank you for the ask! to be honest: it's alright, prob shouldve been better but im not gonna make any lasting opinions before we see him on screen, he may serve. but i wouldve certainly preferred damson idris no show glazer can make me change my mind lol. i don't mind the casting as long as the writers let him embody the apollo vibe. as even tho from his casting pic it doesnt seem that way, he may appear differently on screen so yk. im indifferent towards apollo tbh as im excited for hera!! 🤭 love her sm

one thing I like about this situation tho: it's highlighting the dumpster fire that is pjotv twt. now im not on there so I can't confirm anything concretely but the snippets that are brought onto tumblr are.....interesting to say the least. a lot of the fandom is once again scrambling to justify why their expectations weren't met by the show and instead how this is a brilliant showstopping big brain change wow [!]. or ppl r just dissing the actor. which we shouldn't do

i hear the defense that the new casting is meant to reflect his form as lester but 1) he doesnt look much like lester imo, 2) again the fandom/rr is ruining/misunderstanding the og series in favour for the newer additions. a core tenant in leaters appearance is that it's vehemently different to apollos godly form. from a tan, suave,blonde hearthrob he's a acne riddled moody cowardly teenager. its meant to be such a jarring, humillating change as this provides humillity that allows for his character growth to take place (aside from obvs comedic purposes). for this contrast to take place, we must have heartthrob apollo first. so if they do acc lean into this lester intepretation of apollo, it's gonna such stupid change lol. i hope they won't
