#apocalypse 2012

The last day of the Mayan calendar has finally passed and we’re still here.  Some of you may be sad that the predictions aren’t as true as you wanted them to be, and yes, when you show up to work your boss will still be alive and kicking.  The irony of the Armageddon that was so faithfully predicted is that there have been dates predicted before, and none of them were true either.  I guess the best part of any Armageddon is getting to see everyone’s rendition of what it will be like.  Back in the 90’s the concept of everything ending on a single day was still prevalent, and movies and films were created for just that very reason. [embed width="656"]http://youtu.be/qVVHY5YzhXk[/embed] Thomas Dolby had his own version of the Apocalypse in a film called “The Gate to the Mind’s Eye”.  It wasn’t your typical 90’s movie with cheesy effects; some of the visual effects and technological enhancements used were groundbreaking at the time.  It looks like the film was shot using the latest computers (for 1994) and produced some stunning animations that were never seen before.  If that really were an end of the world scenario, it would be been pretty trippy. http://www.synthtopia.com/content/2012/12/21/thomas-dolbys-armageddon/

So I suggest perhaps that the world ended in the other reality, and everyone in this reality picked up on the mass extinction of reality 2's world-ending events, as the split would have occurred 4 days before, which all in all isn't that long.
