#aplatonic things

1. You don't have to stay in any relationship (even platonic ones), where being around those people makes you feel like shit, just because you love/ care about them.

2. you can see through ppls bs when they say "I'm just doing [hurtful thing] because I care about you." It makes you wonder... why would someone alienate you for something harmless just cos they don't like it??

3. (I don't know if many others experience this) I dont miss people. like I can go A WHILE without talking to most people and I'd be fine. And I'll be totally fine when we meet up again- it's very cool, no awkwardness.

Personally, I don't mind when I'm with people or not, it's just that I don't really get close to them (and I don't want to, for that matter).

Being around a group of people, and we're doing that friend group thing, where you hangout, watch movies, talk and make jokes with each other sounded really nice to me in theory, but in reality it was draining. I didn't feel a connection to the people I was with or the things I was doing with them. It felt like an ideal everyone wanted but me.

You don't have to force yourself to feel the same emotions and do the things other people do to fit in- it makes you a twisted version of yourself.
