I'm really curious about the term aplatonic cause I spent a lot of time thinking I had a personality disorder or something cause I never felt this 'love' for my friends. Like I knew I cared about them but I didn't feel it? Hard to describe >< anyway I'm just scared that I'll never have a qpp which id really like but I have a hard time feeling close to people and I can imagine what I'd want that relationship to be like but I've never met anyone id want to be in that relationship with.
You could be aplatonic given what you said or somewhere on the spectrum
aplatonic =/= not wanting platonic realtionships
aplatonic = not experiencing platonic attraction (or only experiencing it in certain situations)
So you CAN be aplatonic and still want QPPs, because want =/= actually feeling platonic attraction
but ya I understand the whole hard to describe thing. It’s kind of like...you have an appreciation for their existence in the world and the fact that they exist as an individual, you have a respect for them, but...well at least for me, there isn’t a pull for anything else. I can appreciate someones existence without talking to them or seeing them or spending time with them. There just...isn’t that pull to do more then that isn’t there. (It’s like, when I talk with someone I never expect anything to go on beyond that conversation and so i just appreciate it and appreciate the time in which the conversation lasted for what it is worth and then I move on with my life with a knowledge of an persons existence in the world and maybe a piece of the story that is their life and that is enough for me).
the...the above is actually why i would one day love to open a bed and breakfast. that would be ideal for me to have so many new faces and new people coming through my doors every day to meet and talk to and experience and then to never see again, to simply have the knowledge and happiness that they are out there is more then enough for me.
shoot I ranted, um...did I answer your question?
