i am fucking cringe

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

my god what a year. 

what a fucking year. 

if i’m being honest, though, in terms of this blog, ive never grown and progressed as both a writer and artist since starting this blog as i did in 2020. maybe it was because i was stuck at home for months with nothing to do except think about my 5 year old homestuck ocs. 

regardless of the circumstances, i’m thankful for that.

i honestly consider this year to be kind of a renaissance for this blog; i don’t think its ever been as high quality as it is now. from all of the new characters (Shakti, Foseti, Marina, Skrymi, Thaisa, Pierot, Motley, Gondul AND The Awakened. i honestly think these are some of my best, most interesting characters!) to the evolution of my art (i finally learned to properly draw necks) to the progression of my characterization of these little alien people, i feel like i’ve never been as artistically solid as i am right now. 

but i hope to get even stronger. 

i learned my lesson from 2020 that i shouldn’t expect anything; it will surely jinx things - but i feel like it’s appropriate to say that my art can only improve from here, right? i look forward to that. 

may your 2021 be uneventful and full of peace.
