I like to think that Pequod Captain Ishmael specifically hunted down a dark skin Middle escapee to replace Queequeg's position to mirror how Ahab recruited her idk. Because it seems like Ishmael had already been through her first canon crew in that universe as well. Yi Sang isn't that similar to Starbuck, not enough to say they're identical nearly as much as Heathcliff to Queequeg was.
So like imagine Ahabmael going to Queecliff and being like "Hey, ya wife also left you yea? Wanna join my ship and hunt the fucking whale?" and Queecliff who's just running away from the Middle got no choice but to say yes.
È suddivisa in tre sezioni ideali: – Atlante urbano; – Geografie intime. – Mappe del corpo. Lo…

They really told the graphics department, "If this character - who has two lines in the entire franchise - is not absolutely gorgeous, you're fired."
rejoice, bfd ask dump from dec 07 - 09
smollusbossus asked:
i love how you draw/depict the anons lmfao.
that's honestly. that feels "canon" in a sense, both for your AU and for general... Tumblr... canon...????
thanks! i thought leaving them as grey blobs would feel pretty immersion breaking considering i wanted them to feel like a part of the crowd. also completely understandable to want to retain anonymity, especially when you're of the socially acceptable variety, considering enjoying the sport is regarded as a 'violent, senseless thing' by most.
nautilusinthedark asked:
I want to know more about yuor pequod.. if he even is important,, idgaf I like pequod!1!!!
pequod is big boss' personal driver. worked in taxi before, lifted some strange people, knows this city like he built it himself. got unassumingly scouted by kaz. was initially suspicious of the high salary, but agreed nonetheless — who gets an opportunity like that and rejects it? he gets paid to drive around like he did before, only now he has a fancier car and much less rowsy clientelle. gets paid double to stay silent about his job, and not to ask questions when weird shit happens. he's pretty happy about it, considering his eyes are constantly glued onto the road and he doesn't have to see what goes on in the backseat anyway.
anon asked:
So Big Boss is a hermit, what about our dearests Ocelhira? Do they also go changing houses every few days/months for safety reasons?
on kaz: he's comfortable as-is. no tails and targets on his back to be running around as a headless chicken just to throw someone off his trail. he's rather more content with his appartment considering the accomodations for his vision. and he also has a pool! what's not to like.
on ocelot: who do you think taught john this trick? although he's not as constant with his change of residency, considering he's pretty confident in his ability to remain hidden in plain sight. everything he values he almost always carries with him, or stores it in the trusted hands of other people. and also because he has a pet dog.
anon asked:
Soo... what do the Cobras in bfd have going on? If they have anything that is. If not, are they dead?
oh, the 'cobras'? or the 'king cobras'? both are currently disbanded — the latter, all, unfortunately, dead. killed in a brutal attack, picked off one by one, to disarm and rid the boss of her closest circle of delegation, and all the cobras as a whole of all their potential leaders. it all happened so fast nobody knew what to do. during the power vacuum left in the wake of the king cobras' deaths, their legacy was snatched up by other gangs in a brutal battle for control. the end's many close contacts in the mayoral office, the fear's drug smuggling line, the pain's organ trafficking ring and the fury's weapons manufacturing trade all ended up in the hands of smaller fish that suddenly grew to immense power thanks to them. many now ex-cobras still wander the streets aimlessly, trying to find their purpose, some still swearing by their leaders and refusing to return to the crime world, even if it means living in poverty.
anon asked:
And how did bfd Kaz end up a fighter? Was he one of those fighters back in japan like Mizuki with her whirling candy?
unfortunately, no, though that would have been amazing to see i bet. most fights he got into were always on the streets, in the alleyways, out of necessity; that's how he learned that most things they teach you in martial arts stand nothing against people with butterfly knives and mean, dirty hooks. though his rare judo classes still helped somewhat. these fights were always unfair, one against many, always made him feel out of control no matter how much better he's gotten. fleeing japan finally gave him a reprieve, but his anger didn't just vanish. he knew he can fight properly, hell, even better than most considering the circumstances. this time, he won't be running. he needed proof that all his broken bones and hours ugly crying on the dirt road with a bleeding nose were worth something.
anon asked:
What did V do before getting involved in fighting rings and Zero's shenanigans?
he was all over the place, but always not belonging. never sticking around. by himself. drifting from one circle of life to another. working odd jobs. stealing. moving from city to city. always wondering what was wrong with him these people, these places, and why they always spat him out like rotten meat. he didn't swear his loyalty to zadornov out of a good life, or even a desire for power. it was an opportunity to finally belong somewhere, mean something. he was valued for something he was shunned before — for being himself. he did many things there. collections, money laundering, organised attacks and raids, security for international shipments. the works. he was, among these killers, unassuming, but reliable. he was loyal, but not to the cause so much as to the feeling of knowing his place. unfortunately, when push came to shove, he chose himself and fled, as he always did. to find himself a new place.
anon asked:
I really wanna give dear old GILF BFD ocelot a smooch I don’t care if it kills me
sorry, no kissing during work hours (good luck catching him off the clock).

What fruit has killed the most whales?
A pea pod.
Get it? Cus pea pod sounds like the Pequod, which is a whaling ship from Herman Melville’s Moby Dick.
This joke sucks. I thought of it while taking a shit.
pequod (and morpho) love of my life pequod
