Is it bad that I just compared Photosynthesis to Haikyuu?  Like, seriously.  I just thought:

The carotenoids absorb energy and support the chlorophyll; just like how Nishinoya supports the team but cannot attack.

And chlorophyll b is not directly involved in light reactions, like how Kageyama sets the ball to the spikers...

Which would make Hinata and company chlorophyll a, which receives energy and stuff from chlorophyll b?

*reads AP Bio textbook*

*double takes because I thought it said “orgasm”*

Textbook: “Input is vital to success... Imagine you are playing a video game--”

Me: I am playing a video game.

Textbook: “--and you keep losing.”

Me: I’LL NEVER LOSE TO GREEN *continues pokemon battle*

Textbook: “All you know is that the video game suddenly says ‘game over’ but you never know why.  You have no information on why you lost your game and, therefore, you have no idea how to prevent it from happening again”

So, I just imagined a whole story based on the immune system.  Seriously, ap bio, you’re ruining my life.

Basically, the commoners are “nonspecific defense” and everything that falls under that:

Macrophages are antigen-presenting cells that display the proteins of digested viral particles on their own cell surface.  Ew, right... anyways, the macrophages are like that ruff gang that takes the bones of their enemies and uses them as... stuff.  Like earrings, claws, and necklace things.  All that jazz.  (Like Bloodclan from the Warriors series.)

Then, the histamines are like those scaredy-cats that are bullied around by the white blood cells (*cough* macrophages are white blood cells *cough*), but are actually pretty powerful themselves.  (Dobby!?  House elves, anyone?)  The issue is that they just overreact to everything.  If you have allergies, you know what I’m talking about.

Then there’s the (evil) government “specific defense”--under this category fall the B cells and T cells.

Now, the T cells get “educated” in the thymus.  Here, T cells that recognize self antigens are... killed.  T cells that do not react to certain glycoproteins are also... killed.  So basically the government forces the T cells into a brutal killing school where only the strong survive...?  (Anyone ever read The Testing? Or is it anything like that commercial I saw for The Thinning?)
