Me: I should farm
Also me: I'd rather do absolutely nothing but thanks for the suggestion
Sorcerer skill screenshot dump!
What is ap farming?
It is the farming of horses (generally feeding, groom & bed) for aging points. You get an average of 1 aging point for every 6 (or 7?) horses you farm/care for. So, if you farm 600 horses, you’ll make around 100 APs. This is particularly useful for breeders who blup horses a lot or are in a competitive team, as your resources die out quickly.
Hi, I haven't played Howrse in a few years and am just getting back into it. I'm just wondering why AP farming is such a huge deal? Why don't people just use Morpheus' arms? It seems like the resources/equus to obtain an MA would be significantly less (esp. for a top player!) than caring for 1000's of horses. Is there some new secret catch to MA that I'm missing lol? Thanks, and I love the blog btw!
Hi shades thank you i love u too sweetcheeks!
Firstly, I fuuucking know right?! When I came back I was like dafuq w u bishes. I remember back when everyone would MA+CT/Nyx their horses and always bred w tears and hahaha it’s so fucking cheap now
A stally takes around 60AP to blup (can be less if you’re not trying for 100b@10yr) and a mare around twice that, for 6 breedings (some teams may do more & would in turn use more ap).
I believe ap’s are 1 pass for 20 hence why it makes sense to put MA’s on mares (it would cost 6 passes to blup if you bought APs)
Stallys use considerably lower AP’s tho and realistically I’m sure there’s many people who farm well over the amount needed to blup a stally (obv I’m not one cus i’m lazy af) and so it just makes sense to blup them for basically free. + if you use full 60 ap to blup you’ll still find some ap (one in every seven ages?) so works out cheaper
I’m not a big farmer but w VIP perks it really does make it super easy so I don’t think farming 1000 is that extreme really. I always farm when my *insert stupid divine name I forget* gives me VIP perk just because of how easy it is to farm. Some ppl have ap farmers, if not multiple ap farmers to do it or help them farm and there are also players that use bots and shit .
If you are looking to potentially farm then keep a lookout for Shenma whenever she is out bc she can generate a ap boost sometimes and its great you feel ap rich afterwards or whatever
The sales are also gone to shit howrse recession so everyone is stingy af and it’s hard to sell anything unless it’s underpriced or top of the line. and even then unless you’re in a popular breed you’ll have shit sales anyway bc not popular haha and who tf wants to waste more money of howrse to get fuck all ever back in return srsly. [so free ap way makes sense??]
My prices may be a little off but I’m sure it’s close enough, anybody feel free to correct me

The best time for me to blup and farm is in the middle of the night, as the internet speed is off the charts during the night hours.
And the worst time considering sleep patterns and all that jazz.
