hey! i have been a huge fan of you for so long, i first began following you when you drew yogscast stuff WAY back in the day! i long lost my accounts since then but i used to interact a lot in the fandom and make art and animations for it. currently, i'm getting back into watching the yogs and couldn't help but stop by your page to view your old works! your yogs drawings in specific inspired me to improve my art and pursue my passions in it when i was young, and i really couldn't thank you enough. keep up your amazing work, you still inspire me till this day!
Now that's a crazy ask, thank you very much for sending it to me. I still am very fond of Shadow of Israphel after all these years! I actually "recently" drew Israphel but I never posted it, figured no one would care plus I wasn't super happy with it... I guess this is a good opportunity as any to share him.
I'm happy that even back then you felt inspired by what I did, it was an interesting time for me, though I feel I only came into my own once I started making LISA stuff. I forget sometimes I had years of yogsposting before even getting there! I still every few years rewatch SOI. I guess a lot of new Minecraft stuff plays off that style with youtubers becoming their characters, but I always enjoyed that the Yogs were inspired by nerd stuff like Star Trek and WOW, and were already "old" when they started the series. I think there's a lot of potential in that medium that hasn't been realized that I only get to gleam looking at SOI or yoglabs.
Also this is why I never delete my stuff! I get so bummed out when I have a hard time tracing back to something I really enjoyed, or looking at someone's history on the internet. It's everyone's right to delete their old presence but I think we should at least try and talk about the positives of not being ashamed of your history. Everyone starts somewhere and I won't let go of that shared experience even if back then I was young and stupid and full of embarrassing things to say. Good to remember that when you see a young person make a fool of themselves as well :^) try to be patient with yourself and others, you'll be rewarded later on.
Thank you again! This ask really made my night.
