Hi! I am currently a rising High School senior so you know, decision making time, but I was wondering what set NYU apart from other schools for you? I am really interested in NYU but unfortunately, I live too go on an official visit. Nonetheless, NYU is one of my top pick schools.
I wanted a school in a city that would offer me a lot of options and had a good Journalism/Communications program. If it helps, I was debating between Emerson in Boston and NYU for a while. I ultimately decided on NYU because it was a much bigger school than the tiny Emerson and I just liked NYC’s environment a bit more (among other reasons). Emerson had a new newsroom and great equipment, but it was also too focused for me. Knowing how indecisive I am, I was worried my interests would change and I’d be stuck, and at NYU, there are different options, so I felt more comfortable.
