I totally used to vocally stim. And it’s still a thing but it’s completely in my head now, I only occasionally actually vocalize. But I like certain words and repeat them to myself for unknown reasons.
I only ‘stopped’ vocally stimming because it annoyed the hell out of my dad and he started getting mad at me for making the noises. The fear eventually made me do it mentally instead. There are phrases that give me comfort for their syllables and texture , for lack of a better word.
I get that he didn’t really get what was going on, and I certainly had no explanation. I don’t hold it against him at this point in my life, but... it’s an interesting realization to have.

Do you ever feel like you're just unwanted? Like no matter what people say you feel like their actions say something different and you feel like you're being a bother and their just barely tolerating you. It feels like i’ve made a promise i can’t keep. i think i just gotta remember that school and practicing is more important than fic, but that i really do enjoy writing in my free time, so i will try to keep writing my wips whenever i get the chance. like i guess i need to know that if i don’t finish something, the world will not end and people will forgive me, but that i should try whenever possible to finish things that i have started.
