after i posted some art of my dnd pc the other day, here’s the playlist i made for them! ranging from “the lyrics of this song describe bendith’s feelings accurately” to “this song alludes cryptically to their past” and even “this one is here bc it slaps, next question”
continuing from last post but one of my fav things in ridge's story (my last long term character) was born out of practicality. a couple players wanted to change characters, and our dm pitched a timeskip where he got stuck in the feywild for a while. and it turned his - i hestitate to call it backstory because its more like context - his background of being the son of a very famous adventurer into SUCH depth because suddenly that link was gone. his father inexplicably missing and no one remembers the son who cropped up in the background. it made for such a wonderful change in the way he related to the world and it was so much fun to explore

i mean yes i’m very much enjoying it but also NOT good times this pirate king is a mysterious and hated figure from my pc’s traumatic past who wants them dead and our tank is out of play bc he has an exam tomorrow. like the roleplay is going to be peng but the fight is going to be STRESSFUL
