That being said, I'm pretty damn sure that at this point in the fandom, my biggest unpopular opinion is that Wolfstar is WILDLY overrated. Before the 3rd movie came out, there were very few people that shipped it, and even right afterwards, it was still in the minority. The idea that Wolfstar is all but 100% canon is a relatively recent thing that I blame on GenZ.

Remus Lupin is a bisexual werewolf who considered Sirius a brother.

Sirius Black was a pansexual animagus who considered Remus a brother

and that's it

they weren't boyfriends, husbands, whatever the fuck you want to call it

Platonic relationships are just as fucking important as romantic ones. Them being a ship is just your own personal fucking opinion that DID NOT HAPPEN IN THE BOOKS..

- THEY WERE BEST FRIENDS 

- The Marauders loved each other equally. They were there for each other thick and thin. They all would have died for each other. For Pete’s sake, they even loved Peter and he wasn’t nearly as good as them in so many ways. By making Sirius and Remus love each other romantically, it ruins their equal love.

- One of the best things about the Marauders is how they loved each other like girl best friends. We don’t see this often, but of course, when we do see affectionate and loyal male friends, they are shipped together and ruined. Because guys can’t love each other platonically???

- Sirius played that disgusting prank on Remus. Sirius knew that Remus already thought he was a monster. Imagine what would have happened if James hadn’t of stepped in. Remus would have become a murder and he wouldn’t have been able to live with himself.

- Even if Remus and Sirius had dated at Hogwarts, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN AWKWARD AS HELL. My best friend, who is literally Padfoot likes her, and my best friend who a mix of Prongs and Moony - and it is not fun. It’s really weird and awkward. The friendship that they have was weakened significantly. All the headcanons say that James is the No.1 Wolfstar shipper, but he’d hate it. Like just no.

- Remus and Sirius lived without each other four 12 years. 12 years of also thinking the other betrayed them. There’s no way that’s love. If they were in love, they wouldn’t have been able to accept it. They would have said it was Peter.

- They ruin Remus’ character. Remus is not some, dirty, thirsty seductive hot dude who confidently snogs Sirius in the Common Room. Remus was insecure, secretive and humble. The headcanons turn Remus into a nerdy Sirius.

- The downright disturbing headcanons where Remus takes advantage of Tonk’s metamorphism in the bedroom. It's just so wrong on so many levels.

- REMUS HAD A WIFE AND SON. No more information needed.

i can’t tell if you’re making a joke or asking honestly, i started writing a whole thing on it before it struck me you might be joking because of the post... 

but in case you’re not and if anyone’s actually wondering, it makes no sense to me, personally.. i wrote more in-depth posts somewhere on here before but to sum it up: you know how sirius told snape where to go looking for remus on the full moon? you know how that was remus’ biggest secret? if anyone found out he could have gotten sent home since parents would have feared for the safety of their children.. remus never trusted sirius after that. like, you know, he didn’t trust he hadn’t told voldemort about james and lily. he suspected sirius of being one of voldemort’s followers. is that trusting someone? is that what you think about someone you love? probably not. yeah i don’t see wolfstar as a thing.

Sure (also thanks for asking this politely). There are several reasons (listed below)

My biggest reason for this is that they didn’t trust each other. Sirius thought Remus was the spy; he didn’t trust him to be the secret keeper or even to tell him about the switch. Also, Sirius trusted Peter more than Remus during the first war; he trusted Peter to keep the people he loved most in the world (bc that is what the Potters were to him especially James) safe but he didn’t trust Remus. Also, Remus didn’t trust Sirius either. He believed that Sirius was the spy and he believed without question for 12 years that Sirius really did betrayed James and Lily so bc of this I feel like he really didn’t know Sirius at all. Also, I feel like if Sirius really was in love with someone he wouldn’t believe the worst in them and actually trusted them unconditionally. 

The next really big reason is that Sirius literally betrayed Remus. He told Snape how to get pass the Whomping Willow and just really saw the whole thing as a joke. He really doesn’t so much remorse for this and I don’t think he really understood how it could completely destroy Remus’ life if he had killed Snape. which also makes me feel like that Sirius saw the werewolf part of Remus separate from actually Remus when it really isn’t separate from Remus at all (I know this part is kinda headcanony but its something I kinda feel bc of the whole Prank thing). Also, this is the main reason why I don’t think wolfstar would have ever been possible at school (bc I know some people think that it could have be possible at school but not later)

As for after Azkaban, I really just feel like the only reason the two clinged together in a sense was bc they were a reminded of happier times for both of them.  But honestly, they weren’t really there for each other a lot in either got or ootp. Like there really isn’t much contact between the two of them in got but that is mostly bc Sirius is on the run which is understandable. and I know a lot of people say that Remus was really there for Sirius in ootp but I feel like he really wasn’t. Like yes, I know he was on missions for the order which are important but he was barely there for Sirius who was basically living a second Azkaban who was there alone more often than not (like most of the time we see Sirius in ootp he’s alone in Grimmuald Place despite Remus living there)

Also, I personally don’t feel like Sirius or Remus were that close of friends that most people see them as mostly because of the reason above. Like I feel like they were the least closest in the marauders (but this one is more my own interpretation of canon than anything and how I personally feel)

And lastly, I kinda said “it’s not FREAKING canon and never was going to be” bc I really just tired and sick of this ship in general. And really sick of seeing it in almost every marauder headcanon when there is no reason for it. And really my tolerance has really gone down for it and I really sick of people acting like it’s canon when it’s not (also I get really sick of some shippers saying that Tonks was a manipulative bitch and forced him to marry her) This is in no way saying that you can’t ship it or all shippers are like this (bc I do some who arent’) but I just really done with this ship now.
