I’m on a tight budget too. When it comes to foods, keep it simple! All these fitness blogs show them eating mangoes and dragonfruit and other expensive stuff. Here’s the thing: you don’t need any of that! 

When I’m meal prepping and I want to keep it really simple, I prep a type of meat (adjust accordingly if you don’t eat meat, but try and have something high in protein), a carb, and a vegetable. If you see a sale on a type of meat, stock up and keep them in your freezer. If chicken’s expensive, you can always go to other types of meat like beef or pork or turkey.

For carbs, rice and pasta are cheap so that’s great. For fruits and veggies, I go for what’s in season and what’s on sale. There’s no need to break the bank buying mangoes in the middle of winter. 

Remember to be flexible when it comes to your recipes. You can always substitute for stuff that’s cheaper/in season and it’s a great way to mix up those old dishes.

It’s absolutely okay! Whatever works best for you and your schedule.

Calories lost are calories lost. It doesn’t change depending on the time of day and the best way for you to get in shape is to go when it’s most convenient for you. It doesn’t really matter when you go just that you go and get your stuff done.

If you really really want to work out in a gym, try to find a 24 hour one! I have a crazy schedule with horrible hours and I find that 24 hour gyms really make it a lot easier. Squatting at 3 am isn’t ideal, but it’s better than nothing.

You don’t need a gym! You can do a lot of stuff at home. You just need to be creative! You can do body weight stuff and you can use stuff in your house as weights like gallons of water. Now you have a gym in your living room. 

And you already know - your diet is super important. It can make or break your workouts. 

You don’t need a gym or fancy shoes or super high tech stuff. You can make it work. I believe in you.

I have been productive and checking things off my list like crazy the past couple days and I just got over a horrendous cold/flu so I’m finally feeling like myself again and I’m feeling great about it.

I always tell people to track their macros. It’s cheap and easy and you can make it work on any budget and with any dietary restriction.

Make a schedule that works for you. Eat lunch and dinner at around the same time every day so your body is trained to consistently be eating meals. Also, keep healthy snacks with you so that if you do get hungry, you don’t go for junk just because it’s easier.

It’s concerning that you don’t have any appetite whatsoever. Try some new foods and see if you can get excited about eating again. Your body needs nutrients!
