Just now finished watching this movie. Had two reasons for starting this movie -

1. Tom Sturridge, ofc 😂

2. Saw a tiktok of this 👇🏻 scene and it made me interested in giving this film a try

Ok so I'll be honest, I did not actually understand this movie much and while watching was mainly just appreciating how aesthetically pleasing and beautiful it was!

After the movie ended, I went on to see if there were any reddit posts that explained what exactly happened in this film but unfortunately there aren't any! 😭 Tho I did read some explanations on Google and well now I get what happened and tbh it's nothing much.

I was just confused about some points like -

Were François and Louis involved and liked each other? (From the explanation I found on Google they had romantic tension, which I agree I saw too. But weren't involved, which is a shame cause i think they looked pretty good together.)

Why did Barbe start sleeping with Louis? (There's no explanation for this and also google said, this is fictional detail not real. Which i think I'm glad about, cause honestly I thought Louis is gay 😂, and them suddenly sleeping together was weird and unexpected. I was thinking she'll remain loyal to François as their love was shown to be so passionate and strong. So i really didn't like this affair, it just felt wrong.)

But well aside from all this, I wanna talk about the actors! Especially Haley Bennett (Barbe), she's such a beauty! The moment I saw her first appearance in the film, I went "Damn! Who's this pretty babe 😍"

Look at her 👆🏻😭💘 she's so ethereal. And then ofc, Tom was also rocking his role as François Clicquot.

And finally, Sam Riley (Louis Bohne) was also looking so good here!
