Another old and beloved piece of Swedish animation is the intro to the TV program "Anslagstavlan" ("The bulletin board"), which is a collection of short public service announcement movies from different government authorities and nonprofit organizations. I've found a few different claims that it began broadcasting in either 1969 or 1972, and there are at least two different versions of the animation, but the one below is probably the most famous:
It was created by Pentti Tuupainen, Jan Gissberg, Gabor Csupo and Tibor Belay, with music being composed and performed by Kenny Ekman.
The animation was stopped being used in 2020, apparently because it was considered too humorous to use when broadcasting information about the Covid pandemic. I'm not sure if it's returned to TV since then.
It's certainly a cultural touchstone for many Swedes, a brief but memorable piece of animation, similar to Solfilmen.
In the Swedish film "Den ofrivillige golfaren" ("The Involuntary Golfer"), the Swedish protagonists travel to Scotland, and while visiting a pub, they are asked to sing a Swedish song. Of course, they chose a certain familiar melody...
