Sorry it's been a while!
Last couple of months I've been working on the design and the 3d animation for the monstrous pike that resides in the river the Maas, in the story of 'Dorp aan de Rivier' (Village near the Riverside).
It's a myth about a 800 year old fish, that's so big that if he jumped over the dijk, the water level would drop by a few metres. When he breathed underwater there would be big waves.
Last week was the big showdown, 'Dorp aan de Rivier' had over 4500 visitors in one week and the pike had his own 1,5 minutes of fame during the show. The 3d animation was projected on a big water shield by a beamer.Â
I had the privilege of making this 800 year old fish and I hope everyone enjoyed the show. It was very different to the work I usually do, but I love to learn and it was a great opportunity of showing I can do more, just by given the chance. Website of Dorp aan de Rivier
