Would it be vain to one day (maybe) do another follower event where someone could win a book I’ve read and annotated ? Is that vain? Am I delusional? Be honest with me.
I'm sorry if you've gotten asks like this before, but what's your colour scheme when y
🧐Oh my, I do believe they were killed in the middle of an asking a question; great heavens. rest in peace, dear friend, and we will try and do our best to continue this post without you 🙏🏼😭 I’m gonna assume this is about my highlighting And hope I’m right 🤞🏼 and also hope I’m wrong cause my answer kinda sucks and I hadn’t gotten asked this in a hot minute so sorry to turn your death into a spectacle 😬
My Highlighting Color Scheme Is ~vibes~ and those vibes change constantly
apple books only gives a few options and is the app I’ve been using most, of late (as I can pull straight from project-Guttenberg) so, this is what I have been doing, vaguely,
Gold - stand out quotes (that usually don’t connect to the plot) ie the kind of thing you might say in every day life to quote this book
Green - general quotes (that could be used like gold quotes but are also important to the on-going story)
Blue - tracking emotional states of characters
Pink - romantic or suggestive quotes (lots of shipping ends up here)
Purple - interpersonal relationships (lots of shipping ends up here too)
Red underline - things that may come up later, track possible foreshadowing, and plot details, etc etc
However! Most of this is somewhat null and void to what y’all see cause I will try and make the colors a bit more consistent within the single screenshot as well as highlight/underline more things to help draw it to your attention But also sometimes I don’t do that basically what I’m trying to say is
the colors don’t mean a ton and are really just there cause it helps me to read the text more closely and make sure I’m paying attention and cause pretty
“How do I annotate books?” You just do. Mark anything YOU think is important, funny, relatable etc… annotating is PERSONAL.

I don’t know if anyone made this connection yet but seeing as it takes me a while to make connections they probably have but I need to share just in case.
So people are always talking about the similarities between Leo and Percy, how Leo is like Percy when he was younger or something.
But I just remembered a line in the first book, how Percy had strangled a snake when he was a kid/baby and was waving it around like a toy or something. Meanwhile Leo was tested by Hera with a snake but couldn’t bring himself to actually do anything.
That’s it. I’m really bad at making inner thought, I guess that’s something that makes them a bit different (?). Look I’m bad at this stuff I just realized this and felt like sharing.
On another note, does anyone know epic the musical? My teacher told us to pick a song and annotate it as a project and I picked an epic song. This man does not know the war he just started.
