Hell Off
This one I only noticed recently, just the other night, lying in bed and right before falling asleep⦠you know the game.
And no, I donβt constantly think about our favorite band when I go to sleep, but it does happen every now and then for a few minutes here and there, simply because its fun. Of course, that adds up over the course of days.
But let's better get right to the heart of today's matter:
The vocal verses of Take It Off (1992). And those really have it in them, literally, by which I am very much referring to the vocal verses of Hotter Than Hell (1974). Is there anyone here who doesnβt also pick up a paraphrase from Hotter Than Hell in the verses of Take it Off? The melody, the attitude, or the flow?
And if not, then I guess Iβll better eat my hat - with mustard, and a small salad. And even though I reckon the salad sounds tempting, Iβm pretty confident that it wonβt have to happen.
But since were on the subject of food, maybe itβs just me because Iβm starting to get hungry, but Take It Offβs and Hotter Than Hellβs verses are a bit like a sandwich in relation to a whole baguette, both topped with the same favorite ingredients, except maybe that Take It Off has some tasty extras to offer that add some variety to the flavor profile. I'm sure you get the idea.
The kind of twisted thing about this, and what I personally really dig, is that a while back I drew a comparison between Take It Off and a very well known Paul song from Animalize (1984), which, by the way, is the exact same track Iβve already drawn analogies to in todayβs Hotter Than Hell - only of a completely different nature.
I truly believe that this band will never stop to amaze me.
Just klick on those highlighted links... before my mind also gets kinda dirty:
Take It Off (1992)
Hotter Than Hell (1974)
I saw these shoes in a thrift shop
and they reminded me of Animalize shoes like what Eric wore.
I wish they were my size, Iβd have bought them.

Bruce Kulick, β84
Not a lot of Bruce love out here, but Iβll sure as hell post some!
Glad he was on the animalize tour instead of Mark St John. Because, yknow, predators shouldnβt be on stage.
