Still kinda in awe how much sense transmasc Noelle makes to me
When I heard the suggestion of transmasc Noelle I imagined how Noelle would be like if he transed into masc and he was glowing
Anyone else notice how everyone is lowkey obsessed with Kris' assigned gender at birth meanwhile they are literally fucking canonically nonbinary ?
if i see another person basically go "but what if this character who is explicitly neutral nonbinary is actually just a binary trans egg because nonbinary people arent REALLY as trans as binary trans people im so woke actually" i will start killing people

“do you think kris being non-binary was to prevent those types of artists” LET THEM JUST BE NON-BINARY. THEY DONT HAVE TO BE NON-BINARY FOR A SPECIFIC REASON. ALSO THEYRE A MINOR!!! THATS WEIRD ASF!!!!
I’ve seen multiple TikTok comments along the lines of “I can call Kris whatever pronouns I want bc you’re supposed to project onto them” first of all wrong secondly i can’t think of a character that it’s made more clear that the player and the pov character are separate
if u call kris transmasc/transfem or u speculate about their agab or try to assign tme/tma to them then i will put an evil wizard's curse on u
I hope we never know Kris's "birth sex", I hope the people who want to know it never get to know and it never becomes relevant. I need them to know Kris as only nonbinary because fuck you, you don't need to know anything else.
I don't generally like to be vagueposting on main, especially about fandom, but I saw a post that really got under my skin just now, so here we are:
there's nothing wrong with relating to nonbinary characters when your gender incorporates the binary in some capacity, but it's straight up weird to assume (or worse, "headcanon") their assigned sex if it isn't explicitly an important part of their character. if you did that to me, in real life, it would be misgendering, regardless of whether or not you're correct. it's really no different than "headcanoning" their pronouns away, in the sense that it stems from a disrespect of their gender identity as stated.
nonbinary people (and by extension, characters) have the right to exist without our assigned sex or transition history being constantly scrutinized. just let us exist outside the binary, please, for once. I'm begging you

Idk anything about deltarune nor do I care for it so I'm open to hear more but whenever I see people get really angry/defensive over transfem/transmasc headcanons of that one nonbinary character I get mixed feelings about it because there are transfem and transmasc nonbinary people, transmasc ≠ trans man and transfem ≠ trans woman and neither dictate your pronouns. Being transmasc or transfem doesn't take away your nonbinary identity, but at the same time nonbinary people and characters really aren't allowed to just be neither, inbetween, or fluid. We're constantly pushed to one end of the spectrum and made to stay there based on whatever is most convenient for others whether it's because of our genitals, presentation, pronouns, or general "vibes".
I guess my opinion is if a nonbinary character is not canonically transfem, transmasc, transneu, transxenic, transnull, etcetcetc. Then I think it's fine to headcanon them as such because it doesn't change the fact that the character is still nonbinary (unless you try to argue what their genitals are to dictate how you talk about them and treat them) However if it is canon then please, just let us have this, especially if that character is not transmasc or transfem.
at this point, my current interpretation/headcanon for ralsei's gender is that they're nonbinary, specifically multigender or genderfluid.
one thing that makes me think this is the princess ralsei scene. something that stood out to me when i first saw it was the way ralsei talks about the whole prince/princess thing
"I've been a prince for a while, but I haven't been a princess yet. I suppose the only difference is how you present yourself... But, it's fun to try new things, isn't it...?"
they talk about being a prince/princess (eg being a boy/girl) as something one can swap between and take on and off like an outfit, and while it's clear they enjoy being a princess (based on the cute little spin they do), instead of specifically expressing joy in being a princess, they express joy in getting to "try new things", which reads to me less so as not wanting to be a prince anymore, but wanting to be allowed to be more than just a prince, and to get to play around with gender.
another thing that makes me think this is the butler ralsei scenes in chapters 2 and 5. in chapter 2, ralsei enjoys being a butler, while in chapter 5 they hate it and takes the outfit off as quickly as possible.
when susie asks about their change in opinion, and brings up their previous enjoyment, ralsei responds: "I'm finding, it's rather context based."
while this does point to ralsei's preferences when it comes to gender presentation being fluid, more interestingly it also reflects the experiences of a lot of genderqueer trans folk, who as eggs hated presenting in ways that aligned with their socially imposed gender, but after figuring themselves out started to enjoy presenting that way because it wasn't being forced upon them. this mirrors ralsei enjoying being a butler/masculine on their own terms, but hates when it was forced upon them by flowery. while it's not a one to one experience, i feel that there are enough similarities that it's worth pointing out.
(less so evidence and more so a cool headcanon to go along with this but i like to think that ralsei's crush on kris is actually gender envy and they just don't know it yet)
i also think it's interesting from the perspective of the prophecy because it would means that even if ralsei is the prince in the prophecy, they can be more than just a prince. they can be more than just the role they're supposed to play.
also, from a more doylist perspective, i've noticed that nonbinary transition narratives are rather rare. most stories with nonbinary characters i've seen have them appear in the story fully realized, and never touch on how they got there, while it's more common for narratives about binary trans characters to touch on the topic of transition, either within the main narrative or in the characters backstory. i want there to be more diversity in the types of stories told about trans characters, and i think it'd be cool if we got to see a less represented story with ralsei.
When you’re watching a tiktok
Or you’re scrolling through a blog
And the people saying stuff
Cannot read for shittttttt
There’s a wiki you can show
Or you could take a screenshot
With the proof
That comes from in game textttt
Don’t forget
Their pronouns are they/themmmmm
Kriselle… is not… YURI!!!! (my psychic powers throw nothing across the room because I don’t have psychic powers)
this fandom will do anything except for respecting the trans representation we already have. they'll shove enbies into the binary, force their headcanons onto characters with an ongoing and unresolved gender-related arc, bending the meaning of certain dialogue or subtext to use it as "evidence", all in favor of the bullshit they made up instead of reading the textual evidence put in front of them. and you're expected to put up with it because 'It's just fictionnnn it's not realllllll godddd they're just characters, who cares if i'm misgendering them? who cares if i'm reading the material wrong? It's not like they're going to get upset about it omgggg they're not reallllll it's just my headcanon!!'

Hot take: We shouldn't have to put "Kris Dreemurr non-binary" or "they/them pronouns for Kris" because that's headcanon stuff
If I have a headcanon of, say, genderfluid Ralsei, I'll put a tag
If I'm going to use "it/its" for the soul, I'll put that in the tag
Kris IS non-binary! Kris USES they/them!
If YOU don't see it that way, YOU put it in a damn tag! CANON SHOULDN'T HAVE TO BE GUARANTEED!
I don't see anyone putting "Cis woman Toriel" in the tags!
I've never seen anyone put "he/him for burgerpants" in the tags!
THEN WHY ARE THEY DOING THIS TO KRIS?!
“Wow, this character canonically uses he/they pronouns and is fem presenting, just like me!” I said with joys. “I can’t wait to see how the rest of the fandom reacts to this!”
“I knew SHE was a trans GIRL!” “OMG, so happy SHE came out!” I love HER arc so much!”
“… back to not interacting with people I go.”
Yes this is about that goat, why the fuck is your first instinct when you see a fem presenting trans character that they have to be a girl??? They canonically use he/they pronouns, and I will NOT call them ‘she/her’(read: misgender them in service of forcing them into the binary)until we know for certain that’s what he prefers.
For all we know, their arc in terms of gender could very well end with them being a happy he/they, so let’s stop assuming every trans story has to end with a flip to the other side of the gender spectrum. Please for the love of god can we PLEASE just let characters like me exist without just saying “well they’re fem, so they HAVE to be transitioning into a girl!”.
The text uses he/they pronouns and feminine terms, but never she/her. If Susie can be a girl that wants to be crowned king, please for the love of god let ralsei be as a nonbinary princess. You’re not as progressive as you think you are if you assume someone’s pronouns based on their mannerisms and way of dress, completly ignoring the actual in game text that blatantly states their pronouns are he/they. All you’re doing is reinforcing that certain behaviours MUST be associated with certain pronouns, that everyone who acts femininely has to be a girl. Stop shoving androgynous characters into a box.
They are a prince, he is a princess, they are a butler, he is a nurturing presence, they are androgynous, HIS PRONOUNS ARE HE/THEY.
It’s the fucking Kris thing all over again, I swear to god…
That being said, if chapter 6 comes out and ralsei is called by she/her, I will immediately respect that and adjust my language accordingly. But as it stands, in the current moment, their pronouns are he/they, and calling them ‘she/her’ is actively misgendering them.
