The ninth child
Studying to fill my devotional journal I read the Hyndluljóð, which 43th verse mentions Loki ate a half-cooked woman’s heart and gave birth to a “monster” which I haven’t seen named in any other poem nor story. Besides the children he had with Angrbroda and Sigyn (and the two daughters whom names are bounded to fireplaces) there’s no trace of this ninth child, at least not in the articles I’ve read. Does anybody knows what “monster” allegedly Loki gave birth?
