Do you have any tips on how to control or overcome your anger and irritation? I'm desperate lol
A lot of what I do to deal with anger/irritation is rather unhealthy, but a few healthier things I’ve noticed I do that help are:
-taking a long walk alone while listening to angry music loudly. Music is a big one for me.
-separate myself from whoever I’m angry with if possible since I know being around the person will only make me more irritated.
-taking a long shower… yesterday I was super angry, took a shower, then came out feeling fine.
-going on tumblr, since this is where I can be more myself and don’t have to put on an act. Tumblr is kind of like throwing your thoughts into a giant void. It doesn’t matter if anyone reads them, but it helps to get them out.
-watching things like American Horror Story or other shit that’s supposed to be “scary” and gory. I know that sounds edgy as fuck, but it helps me.
-I also think about how exploding on someone would hurt me and my reputation… it’s incentive to not be an asshole despite how much I wish to or how much the person deserves it.
I’ve had always wanted and wished to be given the chance of redemption and to be forgiven. I had tried to make amends, and I have tried to repent. And yet they interpret it wrongly and still won’t forgive me no matter how much I try. “Move on” they say “Just Move on”. As if that’s easy to do, they have no idea how much this has an impact on me. I can only dream that this situation gets better from here
