Am I wrong?
no. Angelo is not a pillar man, he's just a rock
Wait what? But when I asked if they slept in a rock then you guys said sleep as a rock and Angelo is a rock so...
Whatâs the difference??
- A very confused Star Platinum
No, sleep /as/ a rock.
???? Angelo is a stone, so heâs a Pillar Man???

selftober 10: date
For the rest of the morning, Rohan and I walked together in the park, and he told me the history of the Angelo Stone as we neared its location.
âJosukeâs powers with Crazy Diamond can heal things. People, objects, almost anything. Angelo was a notorious criminal: killing, raping, the whole rap. He had a stand, Aqua Necklace, that could inhabit water in any form. He attacked Josuke and Jotaro that way.â
âJotaro?â
Rohan blushed a little and nodded.
âHe Josukeâs⌠Nephew. Itâs complicated⌠Heâs about 12 years older than Josuke and has a doctorate in marine biology. We just knew him as Jotaro then, though⌠Heâs huge and quiet⌠andhandsomeand wore this white jacket all the time with huge gold dolphin pins!â
Rohan was rambling now, breaking down the minute details he had memorized of Jotaroâs outfits.
âYouâd like him. He was one of most sensible people Iâve ever met⌠Strange to say, but I miss him in a way.â
âOh, you do?~â
Rohan was flustered now, crossing his arms.
âYes, wellâŚâ He cleared his throat and continued walking.
âJosuke used his powers to repair Angelo and a broken stone at the same timeâthey fused together. The man deserved no mercy and Josuke made sure that he would never commit any more crimes. Out of habit, whenever any of us pass by we greet him.â
Approaching a disfigured rock with a comically ugly face, Rohan passed by with a little flick of his fingers.
âYo, Angelo.â
I repeated after him and we kept walking.
âIs that it, then?â
âYes. Congratulations, another landmark off the list.â
Sitting down on a nearby bench, I fished out my notebook and crossed the Angelo Stone off with an extra notation of âyo, Angeloâ and sketch of the rock. Rohan sat nearby, legs crossed, with a distant stare.
âSoâŚâ I looked over at Rohan, nervous. âAbout our dateâŚ?âÂ
I flashed him my most charming smile, but his gaze was elsewhere, distracted.
âIs tonight too soon?â He was still looking away, but replied as if he had heard me.
âNo! Where should we go?â I scooted a little closer, hoping I could get his attention.
âThereâs a little sushi place down by the water. We can go swimming and eat afterâŚâÂ
âAlrightâŚâ I got quiet, looking down. He was still staring off into the distance, even though we had just planned a date.
âRohan, did I do something wrong?â
âHmmm??â Only then did he finally look over, shaken out of his trance. âWhat? Of course not. Why would you ask that?â
I bit my lip, embarrassed, but felt that it was important to voice my feelings.
âI just figured youâd be a little more excited about planning a date. It was like setting up a business meeting⌠You didnât even look at me.â
He frowned a little and I got even more nervous, worried I had scolded him and messed things up.
âMy apologies. I was thinking of the past⌠Our sightseeing brought back old memories.â
âOf Jotaro?â
Rohan pursed his lips, scowling.Â
âIâm sorry, I shouldnât pry⌠Forgive me.â I stood quickly, bowing. âText me a time and place and arrangements. I-I should go find my bike.â
âNo, wait!â Rohan stood, rushing to grab my arm. âPleaseâŚâ He looked down at me, eyes sad and deep.
âIâm not good at thisâŚâ Sighing, he let go of my arm. âDo what you must, but know that I am excited to see you again. Youâve done no harm.â
Reaching up to his jaw slowly, I brushed a gentle thumb over his cheek. âYou donât have to apologize for your feelings, Rohan. Whateverâs in your past belongs to you. But what happens right now is ours. Stay in these moments with me, pleaseâŚâ
Rohan pressed his forehead to mine, sighing. âYes. Youâre right⌠Iâm here.â
âText me, okay?âÂ
I pulled away slowly, making my way back down the path we had taken, then all the way back to the hotel on my bike, thinking over how Rohan had reacted. He wasnât good about discussing feelings, but we had to try if this was going to workâŚ
All afternoon I sat at my roomâs desk, journaling, watching tv, venting by phone to my best friend about how I might have messed things up (they calmed me down and reminded me to think rationally. I felt better after our chat). Rohan had agreed to the date. Even if his mind was somewhere else, he had still made the plansâŚÂ
In a little bit, I got a text from Rohan saying that he would come pick me up at 5:30pm. I replied that I would be waiting for him and went to change. The scars on my legs glared at me as I put on my swimsuit, reminders of a condition I didnât cause, couldnât cure, and could do almost nothing about. HS flares marked my thighs front and back, and as confident as I tried to be, I was still embarrassed. Pulling on a pair of shorts and a cover up dress, I emptied my backpack and stowed any extra essentials inside.
At 5:26pm, I was on the sidewalk, keeping an eye out for Rohanâs bright red Nissan. Rohan, instead, pulled up on a motorcycle, revving the engine as he parked in front of me and flipped up his helmet visor.
âGet on.â
Obeying, I climbed over the back, adjusting into the seat. Rohan passed me a helmet from his sidebag and flipped back down his visor. I clipped mine on as he updated me about our plans.
âI figured I could show you one more landmark while we go to the beach. We can pass through Futatsumori Tunnel on our way there.âÂ
âOkay. Sounds good. How should I hold on??â
Taking my arms, Rohan wrapped them around his waist.
âLean against my back. Iâll make a little motion when weâre nearing the tunnel.â
Smooshing my face into him, I held on tight as Rohan pulled out of the parking lot and onto the road. Hands shaking and heart pounding, I smiled into his jacket, then turned slightly to watch the world as it sped past us.
