Another 2024 fresh after watching utena doodle
Donna Donna Donna Don’t fucking pick up a pen again
So I had heard of Revolutionary girl utena long before I watched it in 2024. And I’m ngl I originally thought the characters were 16-18 based on how the artstyle was. I was surprised the youngest characters were aged from 9-14.
Now usually I’m not one to care much about the age of an anime character cause it’s usually inconsequential to the story being told. But in Utena the ages of the characters are very important to what its themes are. Which is why I found it so strange that utena characters do dont look their age at all.
So I did a little art exercise for myself where I drew the characters in my artstyle based on how it looks vs how I’d draw them based on how i usually draw 14 year olds to put into perspective how terrifying everything that happened in the show was
