is the Princess a Rose Bride?
i'm trying to decide if the Princess from Slay the Princess qualifies as a Rose Bride and i would love to get others' input.
there are definitely particular vessels that i believe would qualify (the Damsel comes to mind), but i'm not sure about the Princess as a whole. her true status as the Shifting Mound complicates thing, because she's a deity. can the shifting mound be a victim of the patriarchy when she represents a concept so far above that?
there is something to be said about how much of her is controlled by two male forces-- namely the Hero (the Long Quiet) and the Narrator, both who impact how her vessels present and behave. there is a case to be made there for the loss of autonomy that results from your identity shifting to accommodate the perspective of another (who is, again, a male figure).
