Hey Anon! Well, I get your point, but honestly I don’t think a knight in shining armor is what’s awaiting Shiemi’s arc. :)

The reason she’s like a prisoner of the Grigori agency (and why she gave up on being an exorcist for the moment) is 100% family-related in the first place, it’s not like she wants to stay there and be isolated:

So what she needs is release from family pressure, seemingly from that curse that befell her mother and grandmother before her, which is basically all about confronting Jeremiah’s smiling gang and taking their freedom back:

Thus I think that, instead of a knight in shining armor coming to her rescue, what Shiemi’s arc will need is a demon’s help. And why? Because demons represent temptation (and they are also dangerous in most cases). 

If a friend needs her help, or if she can’t stand being away from them, then Shiemi will try to break free from that bird cage. Look at the latest chapter: just seeing Rin was enough to make her feel better about her predicament (since she loves him and all) and for her to say that she doesn’t want to get left behind. 

I mean, I’m sure it’s not going to be easy to win against the Uzai family (and there are things we have yet to find out), but I can at least see her try, especially if fiercely tempted/taunted by a demon.

As for who that demon will be, I think the story foreshadowed it enough already:

Of course, since she’s usually the one who saves everyone else, it’s logical to expect her friends to save the day for her in return (and maybe that’s what will happen), but… I just can’t see it as the likeliest or most interesting possibility.

I mean, Izumo and Suguro are off on a wild chase, Shima and Yukio left the Order behind, Rin is travelling through the past + has no idea about her situation and Koneko just disappeared inside a drawer (most likely to go after Rin), etc.

Meanwhile, Amaimon was foreshadowed to have a role to play in her arc and we have yet to see him. Additionally, I discussed previously that the Order is on its way to being destroyed, precisely because most of its original benefactors are currently chained to some humans’ whims (the Uzai family), so I kinda see a pattern here. 

TL;DR Weirdly enough, I’d bet more on Shiemi than on Rin when it comes to dealing a big blow to the Order. Rin is Mephisto’s wild card and he’s aware of the Order’s secrets, but Shiemi rebelling against the ones who seem to be controlling the Order would probably make as much, if not more, damages. 

And sure, she’s afraid of Jeremiah now, but…

Amaimon accidentally taught her to act in order to protect the ones she cares about despite being afraid, so I could see him teaching her yet other useful stuff or even just triggering empowerment by tempting her to go help her friends (Rin and Yukio will need it anyway)
