I'm rotating the idea of Andy making Toby see a game at Camden Yards while they're dating or married, since DC didn't have a team between '71 and '05. And let's face it, Toby needs his baseball hit after he moves to DC. He probably married Andy because of the baseball thing and considered divorcing her because of the Oriole thing. They both wear their respective team hats. They bring mitts to catch any foul balls. They banter over hotdogs and peanuts and beer and maybe cotton candy or ice cream if it's hot that day. They make out on the kiss cam. One of them is going home happy, and the other one is happy they're happy.

"If he was a good father" laur 😠but oh he would! If he was actually more involved?? He's coaching Molly's team! (Huck tried to play; he's.. not good.) There is a world where Andy somehow carves out time to coach that team Purely out of "well HE would if he was HERE" spite. (And Molly really wanted her to.) But also there being some rivalry at play there because she dated that Orioles guy? (I just call him Drunk Oriole idk but I think he's called Victor?) Toby gets so into "if you want someone who knows baseball and gets drunk, then crashes a car with you in it, you could've said so! I thought that was irresponsible, but I could do that if you'd asked!"
I don't know what came over me in the tags. Character feelings, summer, baseball season? and Orioles guy is Victor Stipe (ew)
Toby would definitely sign them up, if Andy hadn't yet - the park district's newsletter is pinned on Andy's fridge, and he flips through it to find the t-ball dates. After he realizes Huck has almost no skill in that area despite two summers of trying, Molly can keep up her softball obsession and keep practicing with Huck otherwise. Toby would've already been playing with them when they were old enough to at least catch a ball. He takes them to Nationals games (he will not step foot on Orioles soil, Andy can do that)
and!! Yeah I need Andy coaching somehow, because she would out of spite and love of the kids/the game. Ordering uniforms and all the extra equipment they need (apparently Molly requires new hairbands and a new glove every season). There's always a bag in the car Andy doesn't take out otherwise she will forget to put it back in. Dirt and grass everywhere. Lots of snacks and Gatorade. The team chants Andy definitely leads when she's not paying attention.
I can't tell who would be the louder coach fighting the umpire calls, or who would give the best pep talks to a struggling pitcher or a shortstop, but it would be SO FUN. The parents of the other players are like "yeah i see why they're divorced"
