The Night Kirkwall Fell
After the battle with Meredith finally ended, Garrett and Anders retreated to Hawke estate, ahead of the rest of their friends. The tall, marble house was dark and silent, the only noises being the muted screams of mages being slaughtered outside and the constant, distant roar of flames as Kirkwall was eaten up. A thin layer of smoke and ash already seemed to coat the whole city, turning it a dusky gray.
Safe and sound
I just wanted to put Desmondâs clothing design thing up here. :x Iâm not the best at creating clothes but I wanted something for him that was more â20â˛sâ than what I had him in before. He has a lot of capes to hide many mage secrets in :-)Â

Dragon Age Drabbles Pt.2 :The Healer and The Warrior [Handers]
âHawke, could you please tell your dog to stop nudging me while Iâm trying to read.â The mabari glanced up,and walked towards the mage. âNo!â
He recoiled back, and ran to Garrett. âAnders, you donât have to be mean to him.â
Anders scoffed. âI am not mean to him! He ate my manifesto!â Hawke quickly smiled down at his dog. âItâs not his fault. Maybe he approved of it,and thatâs how he showed it.â He had gone back to reading.
âYouâre just upset because youâre not a dog person.â Shaking his head,Anders chuckled. âNo,thatâs far from the truth. Heâs annoying.â
Hawke smirked at his lover. âOh,is that why I saw you playing fetch with him the other night?â The mage froze, and slowly glimpsed at the dog,who barked in question.
âI-I wasnât playing fetch. I just threw a bone at him.â
âAnd he brought it back, you threw it once more,he returned again with it.â
âHe wouldnât leave me alone.â
âIt was for almost an hour,Anders.â
Anders sighed. âAlright,itâs because he eats my books.â Hawke laughed. âBad boy.â
Turning his attention to Hawke,he raised an eyebrow. âWhat?â Hawke had been talking to his dog,Anders realized. Yet,he wore a smile. âI was talking to himâŚalthoughâŚâ He began to walk towards Anders,as he ran to the bedroom and closed the door.
Realizing where he was,he sighed. âShit.â
A knock. Opening the door,Hawke smiled. âYou knew where you were heading, love.â Tackling him into a hug,the pair laughed.
âI-I havenât felt this sensation before..â Confused,Anders turned his eyes to him. âWhat? Hugging?â
âNo,being loved.â Hawke leaned down and kissed Andersâ forehead. âI love it.â
âAnd I,you,Hawke.â
Gargalesthesia
Gargalesthesia-the sensation caused by tickling
Clint Hawke only knew Anders hadcome home because his mabari, Lucky, finally raised his great head off hischest, letting him take a real breathafter Maker knew how long. He gasped and wheezed and spluttered when Luckytried to touch his face with his cold, wet nose.
âStop it, boy,â he snapped inhis sleep-thickened voice, but Lucky persisted, this time with his tongue. âAck!Gah! AgghhâLucky!â
âIiiiif you two need some moretime, I can come back later?â
With a final shove, Clint gothis dog off of him long enough to look up at an amused, albeit very exhaustedlooking Anders. His heart flutteredat the small smile gracing his loverâs lips and he couldnât keep the warm smilefrom his face. âCome back later?â Clint echoed, arching a brow.
âYes, well, I wouldnât want tocome between a Fereldan and his dog.â
Lucky barked, panting happily. He lunged back at Clint and while he faught the slobbery monster away, all heheard was Andersâ laugh. âHelpâme!â Lucky barked again, great paws heavy on hischest, licking whatever he could reach. It was all Clint could do to put hisarms up against the worst of the onslaught.
âHelp you?â he heard Anders say.If he didnât know him better, the mischief in his voice told Clint thatwhatever Anders had planned, it wasnât going to be helpful. âWhy, Lucky, Iâdlove to help you!â
âUghhâwhat?â
Clint barely caught a glimpse ofAndersâ gleeful face from between his arms and mabari tongue, when he feltAnderâs slender fingers dig in against his ribs. He shouted first, then twistedto try to get away, but Lucky held him fast. It started with slow, throatygiggles first, then as Anders found the sweet spot, the tremors up his spinegot the best of him and he was laughing with abandon. Clint curled up, tried tomove, tried to wave his arms to ward off both Anders and the dog but he was nomatch for them. He laughed harder, probably too loudly. Maybe his mother wouldyell at them, but he didnât care. He laughed until his lungs ached and hecouldnât breathe. He wheezed and rolled but Anders was relentless. He never letClint get away, and Lucky took the opportunity to cover Clintâs face withsloppy dog kisses. He twisted his head, âN-no! No! Sto-stoâhahahaha!â
Only when Anders moved his torturousfingers away was Clint able to stop Lucky between the sputters of left overgiggles.
He looked up at Anders, stilllaughing himself, and grinned. Anderâs smile fell away.
âNoââ
Clint pushed himself off the bedand hooked an arm around Andersâ shoulders, dragging him down and rolling himbeneath his sturdier frame. He leaned into Andersâ neck and even withouttouching him, the mage began to laugh.
âD-donât!â
He rubbed his scruff lightlyover Andersâ pulse and relished in the man twisting beneath him, bubbles oflaughter torn from his throat. Clint kept going, ignoring Anders when he triedto push him off, and even managing to ignore the jolts of lightning that hepressed through his body. Only when Anders howled, did he let go, laughinghappily.
âT-thatâs it! See if I help younext time you come by my clinic!â Anders gasped, hitting Clint playfully.
âYou would never,â Clintchuckled. They locked gazes for a moment, and Clintâs breath stuck in histhroat. He still couldnât believe that Anders had come to him of all people, that he had been foolish enough to run aroundwith other women in the first place⌠Clint inched closer, eyes flicking to theother manâs wonderful lipsâŚ
Andersâ hand over his mouthstopped him in his tracks. âYou just got a tongue bath from your dog. Wash yourface, then weâll talk.â
Anything for you nonny! Thanks for the prompt!
