I am LOVING wolf babies so far!! Just reread the other installments and it got me wondering - do you have any thoughts on what Jamie and Tyler would do if they ran into Matt again?
Oh man. What a good question. I’m pretty sure it would not be great. Jamie would try to restrain himself, but his instincts would be telling him to get Tyler out of danger while at the same time not letting him back down -- since that would create more danger, in the long run (at least according to the instincts). Matt, because he’s an idiot, would probably be aware of the danger but try to play it as hey, buddies, good to see you again, an edge of challenge in his smile the whole time. Which would make Jamie absolutely glitter with anger. Tyler, meanwhile, would be very scared and trying not to be, and struggling not to just hide himself behind Jamie. Then Jamie would growl something and Matt would try to laugh it off and Jamie would threaten to rip him limb from limb if he ever came near them again.
At which point the smile would fall off Matt’s face. “All right, if that’s how you want to play it,” he’d say, walking away in an impressive effort not to slink or cower. Then Jamie would take Tyler home and hold him and whisper to him how, no, it doesn’t make him weak to be afraid, and he’ll never let anything bad happen to him, ever.
