I just have this idea wobbling around in my head about a girl in Carmys past from New York.
Like Eleven Madison Park or before or after.
She’s from a famous catering/restaurantinf background - very tough very wealthy family where excellence is paramount to life.
They met through Cousin Michelle. Maybe she lives in the townhouse next door or in the apartment across the hallway.
And the world stops for just a second.
Before it’s back in full swing. He’s New into the city and Cousin Michelle begs her to take him under her wing. And she does. But not without putting him through the wringer. Vetting, assessing and improving his performance - Ever and Noma can only teach so much before you go to New York.
Even then it is still a scalding and fucked up learning curve once he’s hired.
She is sensational in the kitchen. Like a maestro at a symphony. Nepo baby or not, she is deserving of every award, title and accolade. She’s been doing it faster and better than him and for much longer. He thought he knew what smoke was, but now he sits in her stardust in awe. She watches as he picks up the pace, starts to match and on the brief occasion out perform.
They are incredibly together. They make meals that make the UN cry, Museums rich, Donors and Patrons poor. He is introduced to the rich, affluent and powerful of New York- her friends. He watches as she charms and coaxes. Off the field and on, she stuns.
They both know: She is his better.
Shit happens for both of them.
They separate. They fade out of each others lives as quickly as they flashed in.
And when she enters The Bear. It feels like the impossible happened.
A/N: Lemme know what you think, I wanna hear it
