Joe and Giles banged their fists on the door to Silas’ apartment. Arie smoked a cigarette, leaning against the car outside. When they still didn’t get answer, Giles crouched and picked the lock.
“I hate that you’re dating one of his crew,” Joseph told him. Giles shot him a crooked smile, the lock clicking and Giles popped the door open. “But it has it’s advantages,” he conceded. Giles extended his arm in an ‘after you’ gesture, Joe pushing the door open the rest of the way to get inside.
A small woman scampered past them, brunette and doll-like features. The door slammed behind them and Joseph shot his youngest brother an exasperated look. Giles giggled and walked into their brother’s bedroom.
“Hey, wanker,” Joe said, kicking the mattress. Silas groaned lowly. Giles pushed open the curtains, Silas groaning louder and turning over, pulling the blanket over his head. “Slag,” Joe said, his voice almost fond. “God, every time, it’s like a bloody Diesel castin’ in here. Mum said you haven’t called her.”
“I said I would,” he mumbled under the blanket.
“Sayin’ you would ain’t much, ya tosser,” Giles reminded him, sitting on the empty side of his brother’s bed. “C’mon, we said we’d get you to call. She won’t leave us alone either.”
The door slammed open and shut, Pyro coming in. They stopped short at the family get together in the bedroom.
“Should I come back later?” They joked, crossing their arms over their chest.
“I’m getting up,” Silas grouched to the room.
