Okay! So I promised myself that if I finished Sands of Time by the end of 2019, I would reward myself with Skyward Sword. Good plan, right? Right!

...so I discovered that you needed an actual remote to play the game and the usual Wii controller wouldn’t work. Fine. Okay. I’d order it, it would come in by Sunday, and I would go with my alternate plan of restarting BotW for an epic fic I planned on writing. Cool. I had this.
...all right. So. Turned out the remote wasn’t enough. I didn’t have a sensor bar. Okay. To Google! Okay, fucking candles would work. Cool beans!

I needed a motion plus thing for the remote.

Okay. Okay then. Fine. Might as well buy the motion plus and sensor bar together to prevent a certain kitty from lighting his bushy, bushy tail on fire. Okay. Another wait but whatever. I have fic to write, anyway.

And thus I discovered that swinging the remote is an invitation for battle for my eldest cat, and my youngest cat loved the figures on the screen and wanted to play with them. Everything about the wii remote is an invitation. Everything.
I now have some scratches, one really pissed cat, some things which went flying because I’m enthusiastic enough without needing to actively swing things around, and said pissed off cat is glaring at me right now because I was standing up to play the game instead of sitting so she could be on my lap.
