we know that the first time lucas and zakk meet is the first day of second semester during their first year of grad school when zakk comes rushing in late to cognitive psych. he drops into the nearest chair and whispers to lucas, “this is cognitive, right?” and lucas nods back. that’s all we’ve talked about.

once zakk has his notebook and water bottle ready to go, he glances subtly at lucas’s profile, his hoodie, his long ponytail. and he exhales as silently as he can. god, he’s hot, he thinks before he forces himself to focus in on what the professor’s saying.

tuna settles onto the keyboard of geoff’s laptop right as geoff finishes what he’s working on and leaves the room. he doesn’t realize that she’s done this. later, he prints all the copies of the document and brings them to class. he doesn’t realize anything is amiss until the kids start asking why there’s a random keysmash on the last page.
