ok. this may seem like a hot take or maybe completely reasonable idk. but. no technology is inherently good or evil. the ability to split an atom is not evil until it is used to create weapons or good until it is used for clean energy. technology is not good or evil on its own. what matters is implementation. following so far? good. thus includes ai. yes, ai is scary. yes, it is being used by a lot of bad people in a lot of bad ways. yes, it is not looking good. but that doesn't mean ai is bad. it means people are bad. ai can be used by a lot of good people for a lot of good things too. I think it's important to understand that because a lot of people hate ai (understandably). but you're missing the point. hate people not technology. please. we need heavy regulation and laws around ai, but it doesn't need to stop existing.

Hochul Jr. announced today that a federal grand jury returned an indictment charging Debra Arno, 56, formerly of Amherst, NY, and Lauren Frey, 55, of Kenmore, NY, with conspiracy to commit murder for hire.
