How do the companions and their stories in Pathfinder WotR compare to Kingmaker? I've heard a lot about the gameplay and player character paths in WotR but not much about the companions despite them being such a core part of Kingmaker.
I feel like they are just as good! I do prefer Kingmaker just because Octavia, Nok Nok and Regongar are just amazing, but Wrath of the Righteous has some good detailed companion stories too. It works like in Kingmaker, so they all have their own quests and stories!

You might like wild cats of some sort, like panthers. You should look into them.
Knight: I am quite fond of Prajitās owl, Athena. Other than her, I find that my interest lies with insects (as categorized beneath the umbrella term of āanimalā in the scientific classification). Butterflies are perhaps my favorite, as are moths for their similarity.
9. Favorite scent?
Sarah: This is such a weird question. I donāt think I smell very well, anyway, so I hardly notice. Probably some sort of tasty food baking, like cinnamon rolls or brownies. Prajit: Cooler. There are a lot of open windows and doorways in the library, which is where I spend much of my time. Like Sarah, I prefer the cooler weather. I have many sweaters and blankets for this purpose. Theyāre quite comfortable. It also gives me a good excuse to have my hot tea in the evening.
Ember: Hot. I wear tanktops and shorts a lot. Iām out in the afternoon heat with Jake most of the time workinā up a sweat on one thing or another.
Knight: My body is self-regulating in many regards, including temperature. Iām usually quite comfortable.

Always think of the bigger picture rather than allowing yourself to become hung up on little details. (Sarah has many issues with this because of her executive dysfunctions.) Keep striving to work towards the next goal until itās completed, and then work towards a new one!7. Budget your time, as you do your money.8. Take time every day to meditate.

58. How do you fall asleep
Sarah: Wrapped around a body pillow with a little plastic cowboy in my hand.
Jake: I usually flop down on top of my bed with Holly curled up against my chest.
Prajit: I check in with Sarah if I can feel that sheās stressed or upset and offer to sleep with her. Otherwise, I usually sleep in my own bed at home or fall asleep somewhere in the library.
Ember: I slept on one of the couches for a while. Iāve been working on my own room. It has the essential furniture in it so far since Iām not sure what all I want just yet, so now I sleep on that bed.
Knight: Although I have no need for sleep, sometimes I will lay with Prajit and simulate it if there is nothing better to do.
59. When was the last time you smiled and the last time you cried
Sarah: Man itās hard to say because I cry easy at movies and stuff and I smile just rambling to myself in my head. It could be any time at all. I was probably just smiling at some dumb thing Markiplier said in a video. I know Mad Max made me cry.
Jake: Oh yeah that got me, too. I mean I didnāt cry, but I was really sad.
Ember: I teared up a little.

Saw Mad Max with Jake and Ember last night (and body friends, too, btw). Jakeās pumped to tear up the roads in the mindscape now and incorporate some stuff
Prajit was there for the beginning of the movie but opted out.
Heās the opposite of me where heās calm for stress irl, but fiction can give him some anxiety, Iāve discovered. And it was way too gorey for his tastes.
