The Tower is among the more dreaded cards by far within the tarot archetype. It symbolizes everything we’ve built being suddenly obliterated, leaving us right back at square one. It is generally equated to the Tower of Babel being struck down by God, a symbol of our ego being shredded to pieces. It’s a painful card to receive because who likes having everything we’ve worked for torn asunder?

But things change when you realize this card follows The Devil. On the Fool’s journey, the Devil is where we face what binds us: our addictions, our neuroses, our worst selves, etc. The Tower comes and blasts all of that away in one simple cleansing blow. It isn’t to destroy our good but like the Tower of Babel’s fate it is to destroy our bad: our arrogance, our destructive habits, and our false beliefs. It is to open our eyes with a sharp kick to the ass, a cleansing fire that leaves the soil burnt but free and fertile for new growth.

But yeah lol TL;Dr I hated the afterwriting and my issues with literature aside I deeply wish I'd never even thought about putting a pen on a paper or typing because it messed me up lmao

Eh, no point in doing something just for me, personally. YMMV, of course, as always. I don't want to make something for no - accepted existence. Not mine but the story's. I wasn't lonely per se, but I was deeply distressed I couldn't give the story out there. I mean, it's moot now but yeah. Can't force something on people, sure. But a story with no readers is only half a living being. To me.

y’all really out here believing a story goes unnoticed by the universe it was written in? that there’s not a single witness to one’s storytelling?

also: if you don’t like what you’re doing don’t do it do something else there are many ways to tell a story
