'pirating comics is bad' 'piracy is unethical, what about the artists?' 'if you cant afford it you shouldnt be reading it'
my guy i am poor and live in rural fucking england and my local library has totally inaccessable opening hours.
if not pirate then what?
my local comic shop ONLY sells random single issues they buy in bulk to save from being thrown out, there is gonna be like one (1) single from a random run. they aren't getting in anything brand new, i cannot go through them to buy things like daredevil/punisher dt or ultimate wolverine etc...
its not like marvel unlimeted pays large amounts of royalties to their artists and writers, if they pay anything at all ("About a week ago a friend of a friend posted that he got royalties for over 120 Marvel comics that were digital editions, and he now had enough to "buy two value meals at Mickey D's.") so why the hell would I give money to a company like disney when i could read! for! fre!
either way, if i were to buy anything, i only buy my shit 2nd hand so literally no profit goes to the creators irregardless of if i read or buy used, so why the fuck should i always be spending money?
(this in relation to a tt I saw, with very positive comments)
