Amonra idly ran a hand over the machines scattered on Thuose’s desk. They didn’t know what most of these things were, and they didn’t quite understand what each shiny piece of technology had to do with the one beside it. Were they even meant to? Thuose worked through experimentation -- they kept no plans which Amonra could turn to for answers.

After a moment of envious awe, Amonra slid open the drawer beside the desk, picked up the closest file, and rummaged through it: game maps, game files, game rules. Somehow, Thuose still had time for other things, though these papers would suggest that they’d been all but completely engrossed in the development of the game from the ruins. Quietly, Amonra slipped a few choice-looking papers out of the file, stepped over to their own desk, and picked up their computer.
