Oh dude absolutely! You know when grandmas say like "come hear, dear"? That kind of dear. She would use 'mila' like that aaaaaall the time for us grandchildren. My sister used to get angry as a toddler bc she thought our grandma was mistaking her for me haha
And some older songs use it in that way too "bila je/si tako mila" or smth like that. Kinda like dear/soft/kind, I can't find a perfectly fitting English word for it...
