do you have a mental image of what the like clothing styles and architectural style of amenta looks like? is it pretty similar to modern earth? presumably they don't have very different gendered clothing, but do they have casted clothing/architectural styles?
I haven't done a ton of worldbuilding on this, but, some snippets:
- the Amentan native Bell, Pelape, who is a member of a template whose dress sense is "whatever's default, I don't care" owns a closetful of dark ankle-length skintight leggings, and bright loose drapey scoopnecked elbow-length-sleeve, mid-thigh-hem shirts with hip pockets to put over them, all solid colors. She's grey and it's probably casted at least some, though she's definitely not playing up the greyness since she hates being grey and it's at least something you'd find on some oranges, yellows, and greens too.
- They like skyscrapers, and glass.
- If there is some architectural way to avoid the need for rain gutters, they do that; I don't know enough about what alternatives to rain gutters there are to say what "that" is but they don't want to clean rain gutters.
- I think denim-like and similar tough fabrics are mostly a purple thing.
- Headwear is reserved for backup caste signals (if they're not practical headgear, like hard hats or hair nets). You don't wear hats just because they're fashion, at least not in a color that isn't yours. I think hoods and earmuffs are preferred to cold-weather hats when you have to pick, for this reason, though that's not a hard rule.
- Vague sense that maybe extensive layering is a status symbol.
- They don't go in for distressed clothing, patches, or anything else that evokes the concept of damage and repair. By and large they won't wear things with visible stains. (But they're very good at getting stains out.)
- Residential architecture is casted a fair bit, at least in practice - big houses with gardens for blues, apartments for basically everybody else unless they don't live in a city, greys have smaller individual units so some space can be set aside for a pool or ball courts or whatever, yellow buildings advertise good soundproofing. I think probably you get art installations in green buildings? Maybe rotating ones or something.
- In the accessories department I think you might get a phenomenon where purples wear lots and blues wear lots and greens only wear them if they're especially statement-y in some way and the others are going more minimalist with the bangles if they have any.
- Pockets for everything. They call them "pocket everythings" for a reason.
