I love you, you absolutely superior human being! It is never too late to tell me nice things about me, even though I am Very Bad at Receiving Compliments. 

Mission: Redacted was so much fun to write but also like... such a growth moment for me from start to finish.  I sent a shitty, terrible ‘draft’ to @chronicwhimsy and y’all when I tell you that I would not be writing today if this interaction had not occurred I mean that I literally would not be writing.  

She took an AWFUL draft that had a kernel of a good idea in it, and she sent it back with such a kind but pointed critique and then spent literal months helping me flesh it out and beta reading it, and in the end it’s a story that I am so very proud of and worked so very hard on and nothing I have written since would exist without this story. 

Anyway, Chronicwhimsy is my villain origin story. 

Also, Security Issues would not exist without YOU @amberlyinviolet because I definitely would not have had the courage to post it without your expert input and validation, and it would not be nearly as good as it is without you.

Hey! Happy Birthday to your dad!

It’s a source of great shame to yours truly. It’s my oldest unwritten request: 

“could you maybe do headcanons for if Thomas had a boyfriend or husband who was trans ftm? Like how Thomas would be when he was feeling dysphoric and such? Or what he’d do if somebody made fun of him? Idk just fluff please?”

It’s something I WANT to write. But, I’m not trans myself and don’t want to write anything that will be insensitive or hurtful/harmful. So I keep reading about peoples experiences and writing a bit and then get rid of it and around in circles. But one day. 

If anyone has any suggestions, I’m more than happy to receive them.

11. Weirdest thing you’ve ever written/thought about writing/etc.?

I... don’t have any idea. Hmm. I don’t really think I write truly ‘weird’ ideas? But I do write things that are outside my comfort zone, and in that case I would have to say that the Security Issues universe was very, very outside my comfort zone. Which you know, because you kink-checked it for me.  But it was writing a lifestyle/dynamic that I don’t have any experience with and don’t know much about outside fic, which means what I DID know was probably egregiously wrong. But it was such a good universe, with such a good character dynamic and it was so important to me to get it right, so thank you for being such a help with that <3 I couldn’t have done it without you and it definitely would not have been nearly so good without your input. 

20. 4 sentences from your work that you’re proud of

This ask question gets me every time because it’s so hard to feel proud of work you’ve done - maybe it’s imposter syndrome, maybe it’s just Being A Writer, but mostly when I look back on my work I just see the flaws. However, here are some words that I think are okay!

“Where’s Clint?” the Widow says, completely unexpected. She looks unruffled, unassuming, in jeans and a blue sweater that’s tucked in with the sleeves cuffed, but Bucky’s been assessing threats for a long time now, and some part of his swiss-cheese brain knows this woman, and he can tell by looking she’s got at least four weapons on her.

I’m pretty sure (and I don’t have it noted for certain in my notes doc so I can’t be positive) but I’m PRETTY SURE it was one of the scenes where Duo and Quatre are trying to convince Wufei to come to bed with them.

9. In your xxx fic, what’s your favourite scene that you wrote? YOU DIDN’T PICK A FIC OH GOD DO I HAVE TO CHOOSE A FAVORITE SCENE AMONGST ALL MY FIC????

....actually it’s probably that one time when 90s-era Bucky walks out of Clint’s safehouse kitchen like a grunge band reject holding an infant.  11/10 perfection tbh.

28. What is something you wished you’d known before you started posting fanfiction?

I wish I had known what an amazing community of people I would get to know and be friends with! I wish I had known that I would make friends all over the world, that I’d get to go and visit them and see places I’d never have seen otherwise. I wish I had known that some of these people would become my closest confidants, in addition to being the people I like who write amazing stories about fictional characters.

If I’d known all that, I’d have started posting even sooner.

37. What’s the funniest story you’ve written?

I... don’t know? I think Gay Selfie Chicken is pretty funny? I don’t write a lot of comedy-driven fic even though most of my fic includes comedic moments, if that makes sense.  I think I’ve written a lot of genuinely funny lines or scenes? “You the hell is Bucky” will never not be funny, as well as Steve’s entire reaction to the time-traveling threesome.  Oh, ‘Only Fools Rush In’ was fun and funny to write.
