Idk it’s just me, I just feel like, while Karl’s constant alcohol jokes are personally annoying to me, Bad doesn’t genuinely mind them and literally has no problem making his character in tftsmp episodes an avid drinker for entertainment and bits. The SMPlive crew being more considerate of his boundaries is nice of course but let’s take in consideration both that a) They don’t know Bad as well so of course they’re going to be careful of not crossing boundaries, while on the other side, b) Karl, Quackity, etc are all good and close friends with Bad so they know what buttons they can push and Bad has specifically clarified before that they are exactly the kind of people, that if they ever did go too far, he would tell them.
Just don’t wanna risk babying the dude nor praising basic human decency by taking the shit of how his other friends show affection.
oh yeah no, i have no doubt that if bad was genuinely upset by their jokes, he would ask them to stop, it can just get really really annoying for the only jokes to see made about someone (especially a cc you find a lot of comfort in) be bullying the hell out of them! im not trying to baby bad, hes a fully grown man, he stand up for himself, but as a viewer the content is just not enjoyable for me. im not trying to praise schlatt connor and charlie for “basic human decency” or whatever, im moreso say it in a “its refreshing to see content creators not making mean jokes about bad all the time and making jokes in other ways” type of way (though the phrasing can sometimes come off as such cuz i try to make it sound funny bc. i like to make my blog funny cuz i like jokes if that makes any sense)
