Oooh a rare Amae'll set! Honestly I don't have a ton of ideas for her bc I'm usually thinking about Omelas people, but I'll certainly give her a go!

What's the sweetest thing they've ever said to their partner ?:

(I'm going to sort of summarize bc I don't really ever tend to have too much dialogue ideas rather than just sort of scenario ideas):

Muna: Muna's never really shy with compliments to anyone, but Bhea definitely gets blushy little butterflies even after they've been together for ages when Muna compliments her appearance or skills tbh!

Bhea:So I think she's usually more of an acts of service type person beyond maybe sweet/flirty jokes, but one of her overtly sweeter times is early on in their relationship's budding stage when she tells Muna (who's feeling guilty about keeping her "stuck" because she has to finish some work task) that spending time with her, even if they're doing something unthinkably dull, is better than being off on some hollodeck adventure or working on her projects <3

Amae'll: Ooh ok so I don't have set partners for her yet still, but when she compliments someone, like really genuinely compliments them not just something they did or their appearance it's a bit of a rarity and it's very meaningful. She's very guarded emotionally (with good reason), so getting a genuine crack in that shield, even a small one, is a big deal even if it seems small.

What's something they do absentmindedly that their partner (if they have one) finds adorable?

Muna: Her whiskers sort of whuffle and twitch when she's thinking, and sometimes she lets out little walrus-y sounding sighs when she's tired

Bhea: Kind of a mix of adorable and alarming, but when she has something (usually more minor than her typical disasters tbh) go wrong like a pot boiling over and she doesn't want to alarm Muna she'll do a sort of quick shuffle walk with it to a safer area to deal with and make little sounds of alarm like "eep eep eep eep eeeep." , which is pretty uncharacteristic for her usual goofy chill vibe where she'd just kind of try and deal with it quickly XD

Amae'll: Point out the names of plants she sees! She picked up a lot of knowledge from J'hren and it's one of the things that will slip out that hint at her past to the people she knows now.

What's their favorite thing to do with their partner?:

Muna: When she gets the chance to, she really likes to go swimming in real water with Bhea! On a more regular basis, probably cooking!

Bhea: She's honestly pretty chill to do most anything with Muna, but I think she has a lot of fun doing Hollodeck adventures or movie equivalents

Amae'll: I tend to think of most of her dates as rather casual thus far, and when she's off the clock she tends to like to go poking around at night markets & carnivals that are common on the planet she's on. (With a longer term relationship I think she'd maybe really enjoy going on library or bookshop dates though <3)

What do they smell like?:

Muna: a sort of fish oil mixed with vanilla type smell; It's from an oil gland in her follicles that helps keep her warm in cold climates!

Bhea: normally kind of citricly acidic, but if she'd eaten something particularly rotted or toxic the smell takes on a sort of spicier smell to it from processed digestive enzymes

Kirev is Demisexual & demiromantic and experiences attraction to multiple genders (typical to Andorians/Aenar)

Doctor D'Hrava is a Lesbian

T'Pril is a Lesbian (and by human standards would be considered Demisexual, though that's pretty much just a typical Vulcan experience)

Aerelai is Genderfluid and uses they/them pronouns most consistently. I haven't decided if they're bisexual or pansexual yet, but they're likely one of those.

Muna is bisexual

Wilvous is bisexual

Ceicive is gay, greysexual, and kind of agender (he prefers he/him pronouns out of familiarity, and just really doesn't feel much in the way of gender positively or negatively)

R'aahs (a Nausicaan who I have only mentioned briefly but intend to expand upon) is bisexual

[Bolian nurse] (yet to be named, still in development) is a Lesbian (and may end up being in a relationship with Aerelai, but I haven't decided yet)

Amae'll (Ceicive's sister) is a polyamorous lesbian

J'Hren (Ceicive's father) is bisexual. I haven't decided if he's still going to get a partner like I had thought about, but he is still bisexual regardless so gets to be on this list.

Toka and Kirev What’s a hobby they used to have that they miss?:

Toka:

He used to forage some back on Ferenginar and while he never risks a trespass fine or a misidentification with the replicators there was a certain pride in bringing back a little tub of bugs and mushrooms. He'd sell a little to his parents sometimes as a little kid or *very* occasionally a coworker when he got older, but it was his less monetized hobby.

It honed his attention to little details and taught him to look in unusual places for good opportunities or potentially costly mistakes.

Things are different now though; He's a pariah on Ferenginar, the planets they visit are all far too different from his home for it to be safe, and to do it on the Hollodeck would only be a time-wasting farce.

Kirev:

So he kind of has two, but they're connected; Back on Andoria he used to do little stone carvings and make small woven things like little baskets or blankets. Some of his family made them to either trade to other collectives on the planet or to sell to people off-planet (which, fun fact, played a role in how he met Vasilios and her family but that's another story).

He never followed in that path entirely, but he did still learn how to make those things and enjoyed doing it a lot! There's technically nothing stopping him from still doing it, he even used to do it a little bit when he was at Starfleet academy just when he got the chance to, but in more recent years he's just found himself unable to find the right opportunity to.

There are only so many people around who only need so many of, what to them, would only be trinkets. There are none of the holidays and rituals of home, none of those superstitions or traditions in regards to them.

But more than any of that there's none of the people, save Céline, that he used to make them for. </3

Amae'll:

Ogh. BIG differences all around really! XD When she's at work she's super no nonsense, by the book, deadly serious 100% (she is working with crazy dangerous chemicals and pathogens she really really has to be!!)

Off the clock is very different! XD She's in full control of herself but she likes to party hard and has a great sense of humor!

Alone she really just likes to chill and plan out her schedules for upcoming work, social, and family stuff. She's a little bit concerning messy in her own space honestly (a strong contrast to her home growing up).

With her family it really depends; She's definitely grown a lot more assertive since her childhood days, but she'll still get a little more subdued either positively or negatively with Aikalaein or J'hren. She talks to Ceicive a fair amount over video calls and while it's definitely weird for her especially at first they do end up getting pretty chill and will sometimes play virtual strategy games against each other! <3

She likes Makarr's wife and infant daughter very much and when she occasionally visits home that's who she'll spend the most time with! She has a lot of anger towards Makarr as he was in his prime and will sometimes lash out at him, but usually regrets it afterwards and tries to be kinder towards him going forwards (though it's kind of a back and forth thing tbh).

The Nonbinary Cardassian/Bajoran engineer (name pending obviously XD):

Ooh ok so honestly them and work and in a friend/social setting can be pretty similar, but it's very context dependent! They're extremely smart and when they're comfortable around someone or very excited they're friendly, confident, and very authentically excitable! They love their work and they love to talk about it, but if they're unsure or feel too intimidated by someone's level of experience compared to their own they become quiet, shy and withdrawn, very anxious.

Ceicive and The Bajoran Nurse (who I intend to develop down the line at some point lol) are both kind of in a grey area, in that NCBE feels a lot of anxiety around them, but is really driven to learn more about their own species cultures that they try and push past it. TBN kind of acts like they're annoyed by them at first, but "begrudgingly" "tolerates" them and shows them some things (and honestly has a lot of her softer moments with them following that in that she realizes that they're kinda just a kid and it's a really big step for them to be trying this out at all). Ceicive is honestly kind of endlessly amused by them albeit in a Borg-cut way and I think it's a bit of a peek into what he would have been like with Makarr if he'd gotten to grow up with a younger sibling. Kind of teasing, kind of sassy but also (almost) endlessly patient and very caring.

With their adoptive parents it's a little different, they can get excited and start info dumping at a moment's notice (they do not understand most of what they're saying but they're very supportive!), but they also kind of tend to hold back a lot of their more personal internal feelings, not even really entirely on purpose, but like thinking about changing their name, trying out some of the Cardassian stuff, a little bit of the gender stuff though that's the first of those that they'd tell them. It's not that they wouldn't be supportive because honestly they would (and will be!) but it's just sort of a personal journey for NCBE, and I think they have to come to grips with the fact that they even want any of these things themself before they can tell the people closest to them.

I think there's a part of them that would feel like it's being ungrateful to give up the name they gave them, or to be looking into this often propaganda riddled species half of them after these two humans tried so hard to let them spend time around some of the Bajorans that lived in the city so they wouldn't miss out on that connection (not that it really worked too much given as they were even more shy back then and would spend a lot more time looking at the gardens and the audio devices in the worship places rather than socializing properly as intended) XD </3

22. Do any of your characters have someone named after them? Or are they named after someone else?

Directly? No (at least not currently), but Amae'll's name, as the oldest child, draws some inspiration Aikalaein's (it's maybe more obvious to Cardassians XD) and captain Vasilios' first name, Céline, comes from her great grandmother's first home (the Selene colony), but with a French spelling due to her great grandmother's partner being French.

Arachnid officer: 30. How independent was your character as a teen?:

I think her species tends to have family units that extend a long ways back generationally, so I think she honestly spent most of her time of an adolescent stage well entrenched within her family unit learning her family history and her weaving skills from her foremothers as would be expected of her. She's honestly a bit of an exception to have had children and gone off for a time, planning to bring them out with her when they're of age. It's certainly not unheard of, but it certainly isn't common either and she's the first of her family ever to do it.

Bhea: 31. How much does your character care about their appearance?

So not a ton, she's ultimately practical above all else in that regard, but I think it does sometimes bother her when she gets mistaken for a man, usually by humans. (though sometimes she thinks it's funny and will see how long they'll keep thinking it). There's some pretty notable sexual dimorphism among Bolians in regards to height, weight, and hair, and she looks very masculine due to an intersex variation.

Aerelai 100000% they love a good night out when they're feeling good and in good fun company!

Amae'll (I'm roping in some of Ceicive's family just for fun lol XD) Has tons of connections and enjoys getting to step out of Very Serious Work mode

Wilvous is going, he loves a chance to hang out with Aerelai and get some drinks, plus he and Amae'll get along!

Bhea likes to hit the club and have some fun! Muna too!

R'aahs would go more to hang out with everyone (he has kind of a bad habit of getting into fights when places are too crowded XD)

If she's invited Doctor D'Hrava would probably enjoy going!

Ryn and the Cardassian/Bajoran Engineer: Have not really done this before and are very nervous but if they got invited they'd agree to both go if the other one did! XD

Kirev likes and is very good with kids, so he'd be willing to help Mason!

Ceicive would also probably prefer to help rather than go out trying to party (remember he cannot really drink given his Borg implants XD) Idk if Mason would want him there given his Maquis background, so he might end up with Wilvous depending on his answer.

Weirdly, Aikalaein (Ceicive's grandfather)! He's a privately spiritual person because it meant a lot to his own father who as a librarian died trying to protect religious manuscripts from being seized by the government for their content. I doubt she'd like him very much, but he would be there out of earnest respect and interest!

Ceicive would go and may have been the one to have told Aikalaein about it after meeting Margret XD

Muna would go, more just out of curiosity and because Ceicive is going, but she'd be interested in seeing how some of her own culture and that of the Paganism overlaps (since you mentioned that that one practice with some of the Lurian food preparation has some similarities)

Kirev would go! Maybe Lana would have told him about it since you mentioned they might get along and I think he'd find it pretty interesting (Plus the Aenar might some beliefs tied to stones, crystals, carvings, and patterns, so he'd be probably be interested in comparison and potential overlap)

Aerelai may not overly seem the type, but they're actually pretty devoted within Betazed's religion, and they'd really appreciate something someone was very deeply invested in like that

Pretty loosely! It's a Bolian cultural thing to socialize and rapidly connect, so she'd probably call someone who she sees pretty frequently and likes ok a friend (there are more subtle differences within the actual Bolian language itself, but the translators tend to clunk it up a bit into a more generic friend word.)

Muna: What language would be easiest for them to learn? Why?:

So she actually has learned a lot of languages as the ship's communications officer!

I think the easiest for her was the Vulcan language; The way she speaks it is almost musical given how it meshes with her Lurian accent. The reaction from Vulcans hearing it varies from finding it very unusual (negative) to very unusual (positive) XD

Amae'll: Who do they love truly, 100% unconditionally (if anyone)?

Oooof ok so I think out of her family the one who's easiest for her to love without any kind of conditional or contradicting feelings is honestly her mom Zyhehri </3 To her it's a lot easier to love pefectly someone who can't mess up anymore, just exist as this perfect memory.

She loves J'hren but he definitely fucked up in some large ways, partially his fault partially nobodies; She loves Ceicive but he's so completely different from the person that she knew him as that it's more like loving someone new who just has that name and remembers her, and her feelings towards Makarr and Aikalaein are, to say the absolute bare minimum, complicated.
