Coming attractions! I received a request for a set of bee mugs, which has led me to make a number of carved and underglazed little fellas like this one — far more than just the set of four my friend asked for. Some have larger, more detailed designs and some are simple and petite. Technique and skills, two things that anyone can acquire given time and drive. Those two things are what separates novices and “masters”. Since I’m a process lover I’m always on the hunt to improve my techniques, pick up new skills and give that information to anyone who wants it. The second photo is after I attacked it with sand paper. It lets me reveal layers, and parfaits have layers and who don’t love parfaits?
