Sometimes I do wonder if coming back to this blog is worth something.
The dash has gotten mostly quiet and I still have this nagging insecurity that having a character like Kagami is just too unpopular at times. Or would it be worth it, bringing him back?

I def didn't resonate with Dawntrail at all but I can't help but fiddle with ideas and stuff that were presented in the expansion. I started a brief conceptual rewrite but part of me is kinda :/ about showing it because I know there's been a lot of knee-jerk responses to any DT criticism. Obviously some of the DT crit stems from bad faith arguments but I do think the expac legit had issues, though primarily in execution.
Maybe one day when the topic is less spicy, I'll consider sharing the notes. I just don't want people to argue tbh, it's so silly. You like what you like and you don't like what you don't like, it can just be that simple. Despite me not enjoying its MSQ, I'm super glad to see I wasn't alone in that and that others are having fun!

Thinking how I was about to quit writing fanfic two years ago and now am still working on that same fic and have like *checks notes* the plot for a sequel and 4 side stories for that fic planned.
Chapter 149 in the works and no end in sight. Okay no, it's in sight. Slowly. Which is a weird thought in itself and kind of scary, ending something that I have invested more than two years of my life in.
But I guess that's what the sequel and side stories are for, i am not yet ready to let go of this world that i have created.
I am thankful for this story and all it brought to me. New skills, new confidence, new friends. And hearing how sometimes i'll brighten someone's day with an update is always nice. I hope i can keep making people happy like this, and that the other stories and the sequel will be received as well as the initial fic.
